TOWN FOREMAN OF PUBLIC WORKS The Town of St. Anthony provides outside operations inthe areas of public works, water and sewer services, and road maintenance (winter/summer). We are looking for a capable individual to provide oversight and supervision to the towns outside operations, and to allocate work, workers, and equipment in a municipal environment. The outside supervisor coordinates materials and equipment required for work, establishes work priorities in consultation with the Town Manager, schedules and assigns workers, supervises work crews on site, and generally ensures the smooth day to day delivery of the town’s outside services. The successful candidate must manage the workforce, interpret and apply the collective agreement, ensure safe work practices, be a contributing member of our team, and provide technical knowledge and advice, as required. This is a full-time permanent (management) position with benefits and a competitive salary. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Qualifications: Knowledge and understanding of municipal water and sewer infrastructure, snow clearing, and other heavy equipment and public works operations are essential. Applicants who have completed a program of studies (applicable to the position demands) combined with field experience would be well suited for this position, or someone with a strong background and experience in supervising municipal public works operations might also be a suitable candidate. Preference will be given to individuals with the best combination of qualifications and experience. A detailed job description will be provided to candidates chosen for an interview.
